There have been a lot of changes here at my house. Big changes. I have been homeschooling for 11yrs. And I have loved it. (most of it) My boys are almost 14 now. They have many learning challenges, including being autistic. We have had many challenges in raising and teaching them. With the help of their counselor we have decided to try and put the boys in public school. This was not an easy decision to make, but I think it is the right one. We will meet with the principle and special ed teachers on the 8th, because they will be in a separate class from the general classrooms, and will need special education. I hope the meeting goes well. We could use your prayers. Also, my daughter who is in high school, will also be going to public school. I want her to have a diploma and this way she will. This means I will no longer be homeschooling. It is the end of an era in my life. But, the future looks really good for us. God has a plan, and in Him I trust.

Good news, is that I will be writing more!  I am excited about that.  I have also started a new business that I am very excited about and can’t wait to share more about it with you.  But, that is later.

Thank you for reading my posts and being my faithful friends.

New Beginnings!

Posted by Donna Scott on May 30, 2010 in Uncategorized

Thank you to all who still follow me on here!  I know that I have not been faithful.  But, things have changed now.  I recently lost my home to fire and have been busy re-building my life.  It is an ongoing process.  But, the good news is how blessed through all of this I have been.  This is now a new beginning for me, my family, and yes this blog!  I want to share it with the world.  God has been faithful and merciful to me.  I have new plans, goals, and insights to share with you all.  I hope that you will continue to follow me but if not, I do understand.  I hope you all will stay and be blessed with what you will find here.  Thank you again!

A Valentine special for my friends

Posted by Donna Scott on February 11, 2008 in Uncategorized

A friend of mine, Stephen Beck, has pulled together several great resources to help families start an online business.  I was so excited when I found this great set of resources I know I can use.

Stephen’s online marketing tool kit includes topics such as, affiliate marketing, article marketing, driving traffic to your site, public domain, list building, email writing, free reports, and much more.

The coolest thing about his tool kit is the price!  Get this…It’s 14 e-books for $14!!  I couldn’t believe he was selling the ebooks for $1 a piece!

Since it’s so low, I thought some of you might want to check it out.  Here’s the link: http://www.familyebiz.com/valentine08.htm

Happy Early Valentine’s Day!

A cry for help

Posted by Donna Scott on January 2, 2008 in Uncategorized

Oprah Winfrey is airing a segment on her show about domestic violence and it’s effect on the children involved. A very important subject for all. This topic is very close to my heart. If you think this sort of thing does not happen in certain circles…your wrong. I know. It happened to me.

Please watch this show. There needs to be awareness on this subject. There is a great stigma associated with women who are abused, which is why they often keep this a deadly secret. They are often scared, alone, and ashamed.

The show airs tomorrow 1/3/08 at 4pm est. on ABC. Or you can visit oprah.com. Then come here and share your views and reactions to the show with me. I would love to hear from you. Informing and protecting women and children in abusive situations is my passion, my goal and the real reason I started this website and newsletter. I want to write to help women fulfill their God given purpose in life, in all areas. God has a purpose and love for all his children.

Again, watch the show and come here to discuss and share your reactions. Thank you and God Bless you all.
